Review - The Comforter Bubble Bar

Yet another Ribenascented product from lush ( yaay!) The Comforter for me was brought only because i had herd so many good things about it , and it was so worth it . When u step into a comforter bath it is ...well as u would expect comforting but so so so Comforting , i used this before i went to bed just to calm myself and help me relax , i was so relaxed after i found it a little hard to walk to my bed , as all my muscles had gone 2 sleep . The scent is very much like Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly , which was a win for me because i love the smell of it , but also wasn't as over powering and it was just subtle , and this also filled my bath room as well .

after almost falling asleep i checked how it was on my skin , my skin was very soft and felt moisturised which was great and didn't feel itchy afterwards at all so its good for sensitive skin . The scent that Comforter and Sweetie pie is so famouse for come from  cassis ( posh word for black currants ) absolute which is so so so good . I felt like i was being hugged all over and was very very relaxed , and went along perfectly with my book , the hobbit :) lastly , the Comforter his twice the size of Normal bubble bars and therefor you can get lots more baths out of it , i managed to cut mine into 6 pieces and one of those was enough for a very good bath , so the comforter last for a while and you will defiantly get your moneys worth.

i would like to finish this post by saying the hobbit is a very good book , read it !! , and the comforter is an amazing product from lush so try it out .

Review-Rose Jam Bubbleroon

I'm not a massive fan of  things that contain rose , so  i wasn't overly excited about trying it , but i didn't knock it until i tried it , the scent of the Bubbleroon was quite strong and i wasn't too keen on this either , but since i am a big fan on the Yuzu And Cocoa Bubbleroon i figured i would try another , but smelling it more it reminds me more of the sweet Palmer violets which i love  .

Rose jam bubbleroon contains lemon to make you alert and  rose to lift your spirits hiiiiiiiiiiiiigh !! This Bubbleroon certainly did the job i felt uplifted and ready to go , with lovely soft and moisturised skin from the cocoa nut oil and Shea butter , the bath was also full of lots of lovely creamy bubbles and my bath was a very pleasant pale pink , but i did notice there wasn't as many bubbles as the Yuzu and cocoa Bubbleroon maybe i just picked up a bad one ?

Even after having a soak for a little while i was still wondering where the scent had gone , i could only detect a very faint smell of rose , which i was a little confused about considering it smelled quite strong of roses and Palmer violets , but over all i was well moisturised and enjoyed my new Bubbleroon but i don't think i will be repurchasing since I'm not a big fan of roses but scent was OK .

Review-The Godmother Soap

The Godmother soap might not look very impressive, but it is . Godmother shares the same fragrance as lushs Snow Fairy shower gel , and i know how popular that was , and how amazing it smelt. Cocoa nut oil and Rapeseed oil both together create a sweet and almost fruity scent that stays on your skin after you wash with it ( ooh yeeeaah!!) , also The Godmother soap smells very similar to Rock star soap but i think the scent is more intense and fruitier.

love lush manufacturing vids

I don't really have that much too say about this soap other than that it is a very nice colour ,the same colour of my dressing gown in fact , and i love the leaf design on top . Only one down fall to this soap is that it melts away quicker than any other lush soaps I've tried which was a little disappointing , so hopefully lush will improve on that one day , but in the mean time will be stocking up on this soap very soon :)

Review - Butterball Bath Bomb

The Butterball may be small but it certainly gives a punch, a big punch of moister. What first attracted me to the butter ball was the fact it has chunks of cocoa butter and you can see it before you put in the bath , and loved the thought of lots and lots of cocoa butter. Also the scent ,filling my nose with vanilla and musk , just lovely.

When i plopped the little ball in my bath i wasn't very convinced i would enjoy it because the ball was happily spinning in my bath and releasing lots of little brown flecks , not very pretty.but i persevered and discovered they where in fact the little bits of cocoa butter that had melted and settled on the top , it was like the butter had created a skin on top of the water .

The bath room was filled with the scent of vanilla and musk which i loved , and made my skin super super soft , if anything a little greasy afterwards but after my skin absorbed all the cocoa butter, the grease was gone, also the scent stayed on my skin pretty much all day afterwards ,which i was super happy about . The cocoa butter and ylag ylang oil create a very special treat for your skin , the butter ball is great if your skin has been abused by the sun or if you suffer from very dry skin . Over all i will defiantly be repurchasing and treat my skin to a butter ball .

Review + How Tos - Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly

images from lush.com and google images

Wibble wobble ! I wasn’t sure what to make of lush’s shower jelly but I know they are super fun and a real treat.this is my second shower jelly after purchasing whoosh and I do love the scent of whoosh and its invigorating and uplifting aspect but sweetie pie kicks its jelly butt. If  you like all things glittery and girly well sweetie pie  is just that , smelling very much like Ribena and with lovely pink iridescent glitter to make it extra special.Sweetie pie contains heaps of coconut and cherries which give it the most addictive scent i found my self opening the pot on the train home after purchasing it just to get my fix. I also read that is could be used on your hair i haven't used it on my hair yet but love the idea :p

When using sweetie pie I was a little surprised at the amount of bubbles it produced and how little I needed, it as so bubbly no word of a lie it looked like I was standing in snow J . The scent stayed on my skin for hours , and I always feel I get my moneys worth when a scent stays on the skin for a long period . Not only did it make my smell great my skin was nice and soft afterwards because of the carrageen sea weed and i have done my research and is used for its skin moisturising qualities , yaaay !!!! The only fault I can say about sweetie pie is the fact it has the tendency to slither down the plug hole , so hold on too your jelly tight to avoid disappointment :)

Confused about how to use a jelly in the shower ?

1. Break a small piece and i mean a small piece ,the size of your finger nail, a little goes a long way .

2. Grab your sponge etc and just lather it up until it dissolves and rub all over simple.

Here's a few tricks of the trade to making your jelly last.

  • Freezing the jelly makes it last as it doesn't melt away at all
  • Storing in the fridge is useful and what i personally do as it again stops it from melting away .
  • Cutting it up in small pieces is very convenient its not easy trying to rip jelly when u have soap in your eyes :P

Review + how to - Seanik Solid Shampoo

I was so sad when lush stopped making Blonde Shampoo , i well all anti Lush ...well not completely of course . But about a month ago i discovered Seanik i wanted a shampoo that would give my hair volume , and was recommended this one, even though Seanik isn't a volumiseing shampoo it does give my hair lots of bounce and makes it feel full and luscious . Seanik contains Irish moss , Norri sea weed and lemon oil  which together create a gel that it mineral rich and makes my hair baby soft , i have gotten many complements about how soft my hair is , and how lovely it smells .

This shampoo has a very fresh scent with jasmine and orange blossom absolute ( oh i do love that orange blossom) . It also looks lovely too its a very beautiful blue colour and i love the dark green flecks of seaweed, but because of this you have too make sure u rinse very well , unless you want too look like a mermaid then its OK :) .Seanik is inspired by the sea and also contains sea salt to add oomph too your hair . I think seanik is very similar to Big shampoo but just in solid form and isn't going to burn a whole in your pocket , which it good if your a student like moi . When using Seanik i so recommend using a conditioner afterwards as it made my hair quite tangled . So if you want too feel like a mermaid and not smell like one Seanik is the one, so release your inner Ariel .

Here's a few quick tips of how to store your solid shampoo.

  •   Always keep it dry , when u have used it pat it with a towel until dry this prevents it from melting aways and makes it last longer .
  • Store in a air tight container for example i store mine in a small round Tupperware box , the one with the clips around the lid , or use one of lush's solid shampoo tins .

And lastly a quick how to use your Lush solid shampoo.

1. Take your solid shampoo , and gently rub onto your scalp for a few seconds in various places , then onto the ends of your hair.
2. With your finger tips gently massage your scalp to create a lather and remove and dirt etc.
3.Finally rinse out all shampoo until the water runs clear, and repeat if you so desire and follow with your favourite conditioner.
